Our 'Logsmiths' revive an early building art.
The photographs on this page illustrate the wide range of skills
that are required to build a log home of lasting quality.
1. Placing log in place for scribing.
2. Logs being peeled by hand with a
traditional draw knife
3. Finishing a custom ordered log "archway".
4. Grinding "wedge" notch before rolling into place.
5. Hand finishing "wedge" notch for
final tight fit.

6. Cutting groove along scribe line, for precise
fitting of logs. Groove will be packed
with insulation before final placement of
log on wall.
